A Toddler’s Day at OMS

7:30 A.M. to 8:00 A.M.
Extended morning care


8:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M.
Regular school drop-off. Children arrive and are guided to their classroom.


8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Uninterrupted work period. During this time children are actively engaged in Montessori work.


11:30 A.M. to 12 P.M.
Outside playtime


12 P.M. to 12:15 P.M.
Children return to their classroom and get ready for lunch.


12:15 P.M. to 1 P.M.
Lunch


1 P.M.
(Half-day children are picked up. Our half-day program option is available only for children between the ages of 3-4 years.)*


1 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.
Outside playtime


1:30 P.M. – 2:30 P.M.
Our ‘nappers’ rest


1:30 P.M. – 3:30 P.M.
‘Non-nappers’ are engaged in Montessori work, gardening, etc.
‘Nappers’ join our ‘non-nappers’ in work at 2:30 P.M.


3:30 P.M. to 3:45 P.M.
Afternoon pick-up – (children enrolled in the full-day)


3:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
After-care program. Children enrolled in the all-day Montessori program are engaged in enrichment programs with specialists, classroom work, gardening, etc.

All-day children are picked up.

  •  These items are slight variations to the schedule for children between the ages of 3-4 years old, and ‘nappers.’
  • Morning snack is provided to all children from 8:30 A.M. to 11 A.M. as ‘open-snack’ (children will be guided to help themselves.)
  • Afternoon snack from 3:45 P.M. to 4:45 P.M. is provided to children enrolled in the all-day Montessori program, as ‘open-snack’ (children will be guided to help themselves.)
  • All of our snacks are 80% – 100% organic.

A Primary Day at OMS

12 P.M. to 12:45 P.M.
Primary children begin lunch.


12:45 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.
Primary children outside play


1:30 P.M.
Half-Day (after lunch) program primary children are picked up.


1:45 P.M. – 3:15 P.M.
Primary children nap

An Elementary Day at OMS

3-hour uninterrupted work period. During this time children in the elementary program are actively engaged in Montessori work individually or collaboratively, both inside and outside the classroom.


12 P.M. to 12:30 P.M.
Elementary children transition to lunch


12:30 P.M. to 1:30 PM
Elementary children begin lunch.


1:45 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.
Elementary children outside play, P.E., Montessori inside/outside work


3:30 PM
Full-day program children are picked up.
