Welcome to our website, and thank you so much for your interest in our school.

As a passionate Montessorian, advocate of early childhood education, and now the Co-Founder/CEO of Orion Montessori School, I am especially pleased and proud to introduce you to our school’s community and environment.

The admissions procedure is designed to give parents an opportunity to learn about our school and its philosophy and policies, and to meet our administration and faculty. It also gives us an opportunity to determine whether we are able to meet the needs and expectations of the parents. Our goal is to enroll families who will both benefit from and contribute to what the school has to offer.

Orion Montessori School admits students without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin.

We are happy to announce that we have expanded our scholarships and financial aid program.

This facility is introduced so many children and families can benefit not only from an authentic and traditional Montessori education but also from being a part of Orion Montessori School. New parents whose children are attending for the first time are now invited to apply for financial aid along with returning families. This is one of the many ways we work to support diversity at Orion Montessori School.

Through our admissions process, we strive to begin the process of creating a strong, long-lasting, and collaborative connection between each new family and Orion Montessori School. I look forward to personally introducing you to the school, and to helping you make a truly informed decision about your child’s education.

Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Parents are welcome to call (408) 247-7474 or email to schedule a date and time for a private tour of our campuses. All of our parent tours are private in order to maintain the highest level of security and confidentiality of information that is exchanged. No group tours. Our director will personally coordinate with each family to schedule a mutually convenient date and time of visit to our school.

Post initial tours, parents are welcome to schedule a 20-minute observation session i necessary to see our children at work. Observation sessions are typically scheduled between Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment only, between 10 A. M. to 11 A.M. Tours are regularly scheduled throughout the year as we are a year-round school.

Prospective parents come on the tour without their children at their initial visit, to see all the levels of the school from the Toddler Community through the Elementary. You will have an opportunity to see the children at work at each level, to hear more about the school’s history and philosophy, and to have your questions answered.

To learn more or schedule an on-campus tour, contact us at 408-247-7474, in person, or via e-mail at

Orion Montessori School balances classes as much as possible by age and gender. Except for the Toddler Community serving children from 2 years through 3 years, all classes are structured in three-year age spans (multi age-group classrooms.) Our Primary preschool program is for 3- to 6-year-olds; Lower Elementary serves 6- to 9-year-olds (grades 1 to 3); Upper Elementary is for 9- to 12-year-olds (grades 4 to 6); (and our Junior High program for 12- to 15-year-olds (grades 7 to 9) coming soon.)
